Description
Charity Bear — A Thoughtful, Flexible, In-the-Hoop Memory Bear
Charity Bear was lovingly designed to give you options, ease, and confidence, whether you’re creating a keepsake memory bear or a sweet plush companion from scratch.
She is engineered to stitch beautifully on a wide range of embroidery machines, and is available for the following hoop sizes:
4x4, 5x5, 5x7, 6x10, 8x8, 8x12, and 9x14 — making Charity accessible whether you’re working with a smaller machine or a larger hoop.
Unlike traditional bears, Charity’s head and body are combined and stitched together completely in-the-hoop, eliminating the need for a doll joint at the neck. This makes her especially well-suited for memory bears, keepsakes, and softer fabrics where jointing isn’t ideal — while still giving you the choice to add joints where you want them.
Her head and body are fully contoured and dimensional, not flat, giving Charity a gentle 3D shape and a cuddly, finished look straight out of the hoop. She even features a tiny, adorable tail that adds just the right touch of charm.
Designed With Options in Mind
Charity Bear is all about flexibility:
-
Arms & legs can be:
-
sewn directly into the body or
-
attached using doll joints for added posability
-
-
This allows you to:
-
make her completely joint-free, or
-
add joints only where you prefer
-
This thoughtful construction gives you control over both the look and the build process.
Legs & Feet — Your Choice
-
Create her legs in a simple flat style for a classic plush finish
-
Or use the included footpad option to give Charity sweet 3D feet with added dimension
Both options are beginner-friendly and stitch beautifully in-the-hoop.
Expressive Faces Made Easy
Charity comes with multiple face options, allowing you to give her a unique personality every time you make her.
Her face includes:
-
eyebrows
-
a selection of eyes
-
an appliquéd muzzle finished with a vintage stitch instead of satin stitching, making it easier and more forgiving to construct
Unlike Charlotte Bear, Charity’s nose does not require matching — it is engineered as a single, easy piece.
You can finish her nose in three different ways:
-
embroidered nose
-
appliqué nose with vintage stitch edging
-
plastic bear nose
A Little Extra Magic
We added magnets to Charity’s hands, allowing her to hold small accessories, keepsakes, or props — perfect for gifting, storytelling, or display.
A Sweet, Smaller Bear
Charity Bear is smaller than Charlotte Bear, making her:
-
quicker to stitch
-
ideal for gifts and memory projects
-
wonderfully huggable without being oversized
