Doll Fabric

You will want to use a HEAVY knit fabric to make your Juno! Good choices of fabric are Shannon minky in several colors or De witte Engel Fabric. You will need 1/4 yard for the 4x4, 1/2 yard for the 5x7 and 6x10 and 3/4 yard for the 8x12 if you go the special knit fabric route. You make also be able to find other doll knit type fabrics that will work. In my prototype, I also “doubled up” on each piece of the pattern with a very cheap inexpensie 4 way white stretch knit from the local fabric shop. This extra layer inside the doll will help to really stabilize the seams and it just feels 100 times better with it. I’m not sure why but the doll feels dreamy and thick skinned. Some ladies have used Scuba Knit, t-shirt knit, minky, fleece.

Poly fil or Stuffing

You can use any type of stuffing to fill your doll. Any poly fil material will work. I will say, that I have found Angel Silk to be the best stuffing. It is very fine and silky feeling and it fills out the limbs, head and body with NO lumps or bumps that you sometimes see with even high quality poly fil products. If you wish to add some weight to your doll to add a more realistic feel, you can use poly pellets, glass beads, steel shot, bb’s, airsoft pellets or sand with caution. You will use approximately 1 pound of poly fil on a 6x10 baby.

HoneyBug Pacifiers

These pacifiers are completely optional! You do not have to have a pacifier for your baby and a felt pacifier will be in your JUNO doll download for you to make inthe hoop. If you would like to have a special accessory for your doll, I recommend the Honeybug magnetic doll pacifiers. I have used these extensively in my reborning hobby with painting vinyl dolls. These pacifiers hold a 9mm x 3mm magnet which can be flipped to the other polarity by removing the center cap. So if you were to install your magnet in the mouth and find that you can accidently installed the magnet wrong in the paci, you can simply flip the magnet and it will stick without having to restitch a felt paci in the hoop. You can also use a small round washer in the mouth to save on getting extra magnets. If you wish to have a magnetic paci and thumb sucking, you will need at least two magnets that are small and strong. I recommend 9mm x 3mm magnets which you can find easily on amazon and ebay as well as Etsy. There are many sources to find magnetic pacifiers and you can even modify a regular pacifier by removing the silicone and gluing a magnet in its place using e6000 glue. Here are a few sources for magnetic pacifiers:

Jillian Jade carries micro preemie diapers if you can only make the 4x4 baby and she has newborn pacis as well as MICRO PREEMIE pacis! They are SUPER CUTE! https://www.ebay.com/str/littleeverafter
There are also lots of international sellers if you live outside the US. Just search via google for Honeybug Pacifiers

Doll Hair

Your download of JUNO will come with the files to make hair for her in the hoop. You can use a variety of fabrics such as Shannon Minky, Mohair Fabric(what I used) , Faux Fur Shag Fabrics. You can also use yarn and fashion a cute short doo or EVEN a mohair wig made for dolls! If you use a wig, get a 10” wig for the 4x4, a 14-15” wig for the 5x10, and 16-17” for the 6x10, and 20” for the 8x12.You can really get creative. you do not need a lot of fabric to make the hair. Plan on using a 10 x 12” piece maximum
