About Us

Thank you for visiting Planet Applique! We would like to give you a little background about the site and how it came to be and who the owners are!
Rehbecca Lowder began sewing when she was 14 years old after her great grandmother helped her sew her first quilt. Taking to the art right away, she quickly began making quilts and crocheting baby afghans for all the new parents in her church. Sewing off and on throughout the years as time permits, Rehbecca believed that sewing is a stress reliever of sorts and FUN!
"My first home business went into motion after I became a mother for the second time, and just couldnt bare to be apart from my children that God had blessed me with." Taking the plunge after maternity leave into a permanent leave, Rehbecca purchased a commercial consew. Her business was centered around baby quilts and hand made bears.
Throughout the years, Rehbecca's stay at home career has taken on many faces. And just recently, through the help of a wonderful lady and client, Rachel with Embroidery-Boutique, Planet Applique was born. Rehbecca and her husband Corey handle customer inquiries, devise art project to digitize and make administrative decisions as husband and wife.
We personally thank God above for precious Linda Bethany and her devotion to test sewing each of our designs and for putting up with redos! Her input is invaluable to us as we perfect like a formula every design we offer our clients. Thank you Linda for all your hard work and dedication to helping.
We also owe the livelihood of our business to Ila Turner, a fantastic promotion and ad coordinator that, without, we dont dare think of what would happen. Ila spends so much of her time helping Planet Applique meet clients and building us up with wonderful ads and materials. She is a God send and a blessing to say the least. We respect and honor her in the highest degree for all that she does.
